What data you will find here

Pick one or more metrics and regions, see how they moved over up to 20 years, monthly, quarterly or yearly, and compare counties.

  • Transactions and mortgages registered with ANCPI: apartments and houses, land, for every county.
  • Asking prices per m² for apartments, new and old, in county seats, and the inflation-adjusted version.
  • The average net wage and the pressure prices put on it, that is, how many wages one m² costs.
  • Residential building permits and newly completed homes, urban and rural.
  • IRCC, 3-month ROBOR and the annual inflation rate, nationally.

Sources and updates

The data comes from ANCPI (transactions and mortgages), INS (wages, inflation, construction), BNR (IRCC, ROBOR) and the Imobiliare.ro price index, exactly as the official sources publish it.

Series are updated monthly, when the institutions publish new data, usually a month behind.

Ask AI Analyst

AI Analyst reads the chart you have open and the platform's data. Ask it what happened to prices in a city, how two counties compare or whether it is a good time to buy, and it can draw you a new chart.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know how many homes were sold in my county?

Pick the individual-units transactions metric and your county. The figure comes from ANCPI and shows how many apartments and houses changed hands each month, not just how many were listed.

Are the prices transaction prices or asking prices?

They are asking prices per m² from listings, from the Imobiliare.ro index, for county seats. Actual transaction prices are not published in Romania.

Does the number of mortgages mean new loans granted?

Not exactly. ANCPI counts mortgages registered on properties, which tracks mortgage lending activity, but it is not the number of new loans banks granted.

Do I need an account?

No. Data studio and AI Analyst are free and need no account. You can also subscribe, for free, to the monthly email with new data for your county.

Can I use the data in an app?

Yes, through a REST API. The details are in the API documentation, and access is requested at hello@minside.ro.
